Parks, Schools and Open Space

A 21 acre school/park site is centrally located in the neighborhood, acting as a focal point, and designed to accommodate active recreational needs.  This Edmonton Public school is for Kindergarten to Grade Nine. 

Ponds, Walkways and Trails

Granville is home to two beautifully manicured ponds with upgraded landscaping, a charming old-world bridge, and walkways connecting the community. The Granville trail system also integrates into the adjacent Grange and Hampton communities, providing an extensive trail system.

Mixed Use Site – The Shops of Granville

An 8 acre mixed use commercial site is located on the NE corner of Granville along the Whitemud Drive for live, work and play.  The Shops of Granville features retail shops, professional services and future multi-family residential.

Retail Services – Granville Station

A 2 acre CNC site is located at the south end of Granville, at the corner of 62 Avenue and Granville Link.  This retail center will be anchored by a gas station and convenience store.

Retail and Commercial Common – West Granville Center

Located immediately adjacent Costco on 215 Street, this large 23 acre site features a wide variety of retail stores, professional services, and commercial businesses.

Transit Station

Consistent with public transit principles, Granville will feature a comprehensive bus system and is nearby the new LRT and bus hub at 87 Avenue and the Anthony Henday.

The Grange Centre (located across the street from Granville)

Anchored by a Safeway grocery store and gas bar, this centre is also home to TD Bank, Scotia Bank, ATB Bank, Original Joes, Subway, Liquor Depot, Blockbuster Video, medical clinic, dental clinic, a variety of restaurants and more.

The Hampton Market (located at the South end of Granville)

Anchored by Save-On Foods, this centre is also home to a Dairy Queen, Shoppers Drug Mart, Boston Pizza, TD Bank, Bank of Montreal, HSBC Bank, Royal Bank, Husky Gas, M&M Meats, Liquor Depot, Starbucks, a medical clinic and an assortment of restaurants.

West Edmonton Mall

A destination point for West Edmonton, the world’s largest mall is home to a wave pool, amusement park, ice rink, mini golf, hotel, restaurants and shops that accommodates the needs of most people, all in one convenient place.

Lewis Estates Golf Course

Lewis Estates Golf Course is one of Edmonton’s finest public golf courses in Edmonton’s west end. Lewis Estates is located on the NW corner of the Anthony Henday and Whitemud freeway, with the golf course a 2 minute drive north of Granville.

Misericordia Hospital

An acute care facility, located just off 170 Street and 87 Avenue, that has 228 beds and offers 24-hour Emergency care, general medicine and surgery.

Jamie Platz YMCA

Schools

The Sister Annata Brockman Catholic Elementary/Junior High (K-9) in the Hamptons opened for classes in the fall of 2010.  The Bessie Nichols School (K-9) also located in the Hamptons opened for classes in the fall of 2012.  There are a number of other future school sites in the area, including a new school coming just north of Granville. In the meantime, there are a variety of schools available just across the Anthony Henday.
